Charles E. "Pop" Jennings, passed away on August 10, 2014. Mr. Jennings is survived by his eldest son, Robert C. Jennings of Twentynine Palms, California, daughter Carolyn J. Bevers of Bakersfield, California, and son Stephen D. Jennings of West Toluca Lake, California. Charlie was the very proud Grandpa & 'Pop' to eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mr. Jennings is the son of Edward M. and Mildred L. Jennings of Ohio, and the brother of Judith J. Haycock of Medfield, Massachusetts.
Charles is a 1943 graduate of Belmont High School in Belmont, Massachusetts. He served honorably, in the United States Marine Corps, during World War II in the Pacific campaigns and battles for Saipan, Iwo Jima, and Okinawa, while assigned to Marine Bombing Squadron Six-Twelve (VMB-612).
Mr. Jennings cremains will be inurned alongside his son, Richard's on Saturday, August 16, 2014 11AM at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont, Texas.
