Clarence Hugh Thompson, 99, of Vidor passed away on Monday November 4, 2013 at his residence. A native of Davilla, Texas, he was a lifelong resident of Vidor. Mr. Thompson was born on October 28, 1914 to John William Thompson and Alice Eleanor Cargill Thompson. He was preceded in death by his wife Edna Thompson. Surviving Clarence are his sons, Charles Thompson and his wife Glenda of Houston, Wayne Thompson of Wildwood, Robert Thompson and his wife Martha of Rockhill, South Carolina, daughter, Eva Stewart of Vidor. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mr. Thompson will be on Thursday November 7, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will be on Wednesday November 6, 2013 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Beaumont. Serving as pallbearers will be Travis Thompson, Charles Thompson, Tim Barrett, Steve Stewart, Mark Stewart and Greg Lumpkin.
