Daisy Elizabeth Johnson, 92, of Houston, passed away on Friday January 16, 2015 at Houston Methodist West Hospital. Mrs. Johnson was born on October 6, 1922 in Dallas, Texas and became a lifelong resident of Beaumont. Daisy was raised by her Aunt and Uncle Maude and Jim Stewart after her Mother’s death at her birth. She also was the granddaughter of Sevan and Belzire Broussard who were Beaumont pioneers who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death was her husband A.C. Johnson. Mrs. Johnson worked as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell and also for Virginia Engineering in the Norfolk, Virginia Navy Base during World War II. She had a great love for flowers, animals, and all people. She is survived by her son Philip Johnson and grandson Steven Johnson both of Houston.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday January 20, 2015 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park under the direction of Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Beaumont.
