Debbie is preceded in death by her father, Jim Bean, her mother, Nina Ann Fisher Bean, and her brother, James William (Bill) Bean. Those and her sister Mary Ann Bean Monk were all an inspiration to her career and her life.
Her extreme pride and joy were her sons, Matthew Wade Lene' and Mark Timothy Lene'. She called them her gifts from God. The love of her life, her husband, Timothy Wade Lene', was so loving and attentive to all of her needs, for every hospital stay… Tim was there, the whole time!
She graduated from Beaumont High School, May 1971, and went on to pursue her career, graduating from Lamar University December 1974 with her Bachelor in Elementary Education and then receiving her Masters in Special Education in 1976. Special needs children were always in her heart!
She taught in public and private schools for over 30 years. As her health declined, she retired; but she was always missing Pine Forest Elementary in Vidor.
Debbie loved people - all people and especially children, so very much!
She had an enduring smile and a wonderful laugh, both of which she used often. She never met a stranger and quickly became a friend to others.
She loved her Savior Jesus Christ, often posting prayers and scriptures on her Facebook page. She always said that she belonged to God and when he was ready for her, she was ready to go to Him.
She wanted everyone to be kind and to treat others in a nice way, especially our special needs kids everywhere.
Remember her smiling and loving each and every one as you recall her life here on earth.
