Dee Janet Bell

Dee was born on March 26, 1957 in Fred, TX. She had been a lifelong Southeast Texas resident and had graduated from Lumberton High School where she was a Raiderette. Dee married Raymond R. Bell on October 10, 1980 in Beaumont. She loved cooking, gardening and all animals and had been a member of Holy Covenant United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Phillips; her biological mother, Radene Ard; brothers, James VanMeter and Billy Joe Ard and many nieces and nephews and extended family member.

Her survivors include her husband, Raymond Bell of Katy, TX; adoptive mother, Margaret Phillips of San Marcos, TX; a son, Richard R. Bell and wife Nicole of Katy, TX; brothers, Chris Phillips of Dallas, TX, Pat Phillips of Dayton, TX, Dick Phillips of Hendersonville, NC, Tommy Spivey of Kountze, TX, Dale Spivey of Kountze, TX, Randy Robertson of Center, TX, Wayne Kelly of Houston, TX; sisters, Suzanne Weeks of San Angelo, TX, Norma McLaren of Humble, TX, Sara Ard of Houston, TX, Lillie Zepeda of Denver, CO; brother-in-law, Ryan Reagan Bell of Katy, TX, uncles, Bobby Rashall of Silsbee, TX, Raymond Rashall of Silsbee, TX; nephew, Ryan Bell of Katy, TX and a grandson, Ryan Richard Bell.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Friday, July 23, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 24, 2010 in the Chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the “Lily Pool Garden” of Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
