Donald was born on August 31, 1932, in Lancaster, Missouri, to Ruben and Bernice LeGrande. A longtime member of Bevil Oaks Baptist Church, Donald was a proud graduate of Beaumont High School and earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Lamar University. He also proudly served his country as a sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Donald had a deep love for the outdoors, enjoying hunting, fishing, and playing golf. However, his greatest joy came from spending time with his grandchildren, always eager to create cherished memories with them.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 63 years, Patsy Ruth LeGrande.
Donald is survived by his son, Mark E. LeGrande and his wife, Terry, of Beaumont; his daughter, Lisa K. Hensley and her husband, Curt, of New Waverly; grandchildren Katie Kitchen and her husband, Jeremy, and Kelli LeGrande; great-grandchildren Vera Ruth Kitchen and Jane Olivia Kitchen; and six nieces.
A graveside service will be held in Donald’s honor on Friday, January 24, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 4955 Pine Street, Beaumont, Texas 77703.
