
Edmund Hamm Price, 73, of Tulsa Oklahoma, formerly of Beaumont, passed away on Friday, February 3, 2012, quietly asleep at his home. Ed was born on September 18, 1938 in Beaumont, to the late James and Dorothy Price. Ed graduated from Beaumont High School in 1957 and then later attended Lamar University where he was a member of Kappa Alpha fraternity. Ed loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He often reminisced of outdoor adventures with lifelong friends David DE Cordova and DVM Sam Monticello. Ed spent many prosperous years in the automotive repair industry, over his career Ed owned and operated repair shops in over five cities and two states. Ed and his wife, Madelyn had moved to Oklahoma where he was pursuing a career in the real estate business.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents and son, Kristopher Carol Price.
Ed is survived by his wife, Madelyn of Tulsa Oklahoma; sons Edmund “Beau” Hamm Price II of Sour Lake; Jon D. Price and wife Tammy of Sour lake; daughter, Ann M. Bankston of Beaumont; brother James S. Price of The Woodlands; grandchildren, Dustin Price, Blair Balsamo, Wesley Collier, Leeann Price, Jessica McMakin, Jon Price II and numerous nieces and nephews.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Beaumont. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2012, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Beaumont with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
