Born on February 6, 1933 in Rye, Texas, Fran was the daughter of the late Clyde Primrose and Leavie (McDonald) Primrose. A woman of unwavering faith, she was a loyal and devoted member of the Dowlen Road Church of Christ in Beaumont, where she proudly served her Lord throughout her life.
Fran found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved fishing, traveling, reading, and, in her younger years, spending time outdoors tending to her garden. More than anything, she cherished time with her family. Fridays were reserved for family game nights, a treasured tradition amongst all that brought together her children and grandchildren to share laughter, stories, and each other's company.
Known affectionately as "Grandma Fran" to her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she took immense pride in each of them. Her love, wisdom, and gentle spirit left a lasting impact on generations of her family. Fran was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and faithful servant of God who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband of 49 years, Ray Carder; her son, Mike Carder; her brothers, Clyde O. Primrose and Jack Primrose; and her sisters, Lilly Carr, Faye Barry, Dixie Cowart, and Shirley Wilson.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Gail Legendre and husband Mark, Dottie Henderson and husband Leeroy, Lol Ray Carder, and J.J. Carder and wife Kelly; her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her brother, Bill Primrose and wife Jean; her sisters, Dot Istre, Mary Jane Beard, and Pansy Johnson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
Fran's legacy of faith, love, and devotion to family will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
