Gloria Mae Bergeron, 96, of Highlands, Texas, died Sunday, August 17, 2025 at St. James House Nursing Home in Baytown. A native of Beaumont, she was a longtime resident of Beaumont and Crystal Beach before moving to Highlands 2 1/2 years ago. Gloria was a homemaker. Gloria enjoyed cooking, reading (especially her Bible), and Sunday drives. Gloria loved her church where she was a prayer warrior, she loved to help others, and was known to her family as the Angel of the Family.
A Celebration of Gloria's Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 25, 2025 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Beaumont with burial to at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 24, 2025 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
Gloria was preceded in death by her loving husband Jean B. "JB" Bergeron, parents Bodman Sidney Williams and Pauline Grace Lackey Williams, son Gene Earl Bergeron, daughter, Starlynn Kay Bergeron Carter, brothers, Charles Williams, and Bobby Lee Williams.
She is survived by her grandson Norris Carter of Beaumont, her sister, Callie Mary Pugh, of Highlands, TX, her four nephews, Sidney Williams of Vidor, Jerry Williams of Vidor, Harold 'Bubba' Rankin of Kountze, Nick Rankin of Kountze and her niece, Judy Fraize of Highlands.
Gloria will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
