Guadalupe grew up in Rose City before joining the Marines and serving in World War II as a Corporal. He returned to Beaumont and worked in a factory, where he his future wife, Pauline. After asking her out not once, not twice, but three times, she finally agreed and they were married soon after. He worked as a pipefitter for Gulf Refinery for 34 years before retiring. He was a founding member of Cristo Rey Catholic Church in Beaumont. He enjoyed spending time tending to his garden and taking care of the yardwork, including cutting grass for the church. He also loved to travel, travelling across to United States, and he was always the one who drove. Guadalupe was a hard worker and always dependable, always willing to help out anyone who needed, even though it would also come with a piece of his mind. He was an avid reader and enjoyed talking about those subjects. But above all, Guadalupe loved his family. Family was always first for him, and he was always willing to help and care care for his large family. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Guadalupe is survived by his son Ruben Daniels and wife Becky of Nederland; his stepson Elwood Holliday; his grandchildren Theresa Tinsley and husband George of Sulphur, Rachel Cole and husband Joshua of Silsbee, Lauren Daniels of Beaumont, Thomas Daniels and wife Heather of Nederland, Tyler Daniels of Nederland, Amy Knox of Beaumont, Deborah Holliday of Beaumont, Christine Holliday of Beaumont, Jennifer Holliday of Ohio, Kelli Holliday of Wisconsin, Kathleen Holliday of Pennsylvania, Michelle Belvin of Beaumont, and Matthew Holliday; great grandchildren Kori, Cuatro, Colby, Rainey, Caden, Michael, Elizabeth, Jozsef, Zsofia, Blakely, Liam, Kiera; and great great grandchildren Maggie and Debbie.
Guadalupe was preceded in death by his wife Pauline Hernandez Daniels; his son James Michael Daniels; his father Agapito Daniels and his mother Pauline Guerrero; his brother Joe Daniels; his sister Raphael Carlin and his sister Alberta Rodriguez; and his great grandchild Kennedy Paige Daniels.
A Gathering of Family and Friends for Guadalupe will be held Friday, October 22, 2021 at 12:00 PM, a Rosary will occur at 1:30 PM, and a Celebration of Guadalupe's Life will occur Friday, October 22, 2021 at 2:00 PM, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, located at 4955 Pine Street, Beaumont, Texas 77703.
