She was born on May 14, 1923 in Canton, OH and was married for 53 years to her beloved husband, Stewart Thomas Booth, until his death in 1993. While living in Beaumont, TX, Harriet was active as a volunteer at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital and Baptist Hospital and enjoyed music and singing in church choirs. After moving to Columbus, OH 9 years ago, she became a member of New Albany United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her children, Tim Booth and wife Jill, Sandy Newman and husband, Phil, and Jeff Booth and wife Velma Cullen. Harriet was blessed to have 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
The family will hold a private graveside service at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Beaumont, TX. Those who wish to give a memorial in remembrance of Harriet’s life can send it to New Albany United Methodist Church, Choral Scholars Fund, 20 - 3rd Street, New Albany, OH 43054.
