Helen Joy Bertrand

Helen Joy Bertrand, 63, a lifelong resident of Beaumont passed away on Wednesday February 18, 2015 in Beaumont. Helen was born on August 12, 1951 in Beaumont, Texas to her parents Lawrence and Ethel Miller Foux, who preceded her in death. She was member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in China. She was the drummer for her husband Gary Bertrand’s Touch of Cajun Band. Helen also enjoyed cooking and was always helping her parents at their food booth at the South Texas State Fair. She was a dedicated homemaker who was known for taking care of her family’s needs, especially her grandchildren. Surviving Helen are her husband of over forty-one plus years, Gary Bertrand of Beaumont, son Kevin Bertrand and wife Kylyn of Idaho Falls, Idaho, daughter Deanna Mings and husband Kenneth of Nederland, sibling Leonard Foux of Port Acres, two grandchildren Nicholas Bertrand and wife Bethany of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Kenlee Mings of Nederland, and one niece Christina Fontenot and husband Barry of China, Texas.

Visitation will be held on Friday February 27, 2015 from 5:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. with a rosary at 7:00 P.M. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Beaumont. Funeral services will be on Saturday February 28, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.
