Helen Hampton Crutchfield, 83, of Tyler, Texas passed away on Friday, December 9, 2011, at Hospice of East Texas in Tyler. Helen was born February 6, 1928, in Rayville, Louisiana to Dub & Annie Seymour. Helen had lived the past 16 years in Tyler and was a former resident of Beaumont. She was a homemaker and a sitter.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Morris “Chillie” James Hampton and Ray Crutchfield. She is survived by her sons, R.L. Hampton and wife Mary Ann, LeRoy Hampton and James Hampton; daughters, Marion Madden and husband Larry, Linda Miles and husband Ken and Shirley Whitley and husband Mickey; sister, Gracie Cowden; 14 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends will begin on Monday, December 12, 2011, at 1 p.m., with a chapel service to follow at 2 p.m., with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be; Mickey Whitley, Ken Miles, Jesse Hampton, Mickey Joe Whitley III, Larry Madden and Glen DelBello.
