Joe was known for his infectious smile and his ability to bring joy and laughter to everyone around him. His easygoing nature and sense of humor made him a beloved friend, father, son, and brother. He had a special way of making life feel lighter and brighter for those who were lucky enough to know him.
He is survived by his loving father, Charles Sumrall of Buna; his sons, Joseph David Sumrall of Lufkin, Jakob Stephen Sumrall of Buna, and Kolby Dean Sumrall of Buna; his brother, Bill Sumrall, and wife Peggy of Buna; and his cherished granddaughter, Evelyn Kate Sumrall.
Joe’s family and friends will gather to celebrate his life 2:00 PM on Friday, January 24, 2025, at Central Baptist Church, 33814 US-96, Buna, Texas, 77612. All who knew Joe are invited to come and share in honoring the life of a man who touched so many hearts with his love and laughter.
