John Emmitt Lopez Sr.

John was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Beaumont and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He served in the Army during WWII and later joined the V.F.W. and American Legion. John loved to hunt and fish.

John was preceded in death by his wife Mary "Cookie" Lopez and son Edward Lopez.

Surviving John are his loving wife of 21 years Beatrice R. Lopez of Beaumont; sons, John E. Lopez of Beaumont, Carl H Lopez of Pasadena; daughter Judy Pete of Beaumont; brother Moses Lopez of North Richland Hills; sister, Nazaria Ogden of Bedford; grandchildren, Heather Waybright, Michelle Colledge, Ashley Pete, Domique Pete, Natalie Herrington, Elesha Reyes; Great Grandchildren, Tate Herrington, Dylan Herrington, Electra Braswell, Madison Colledge, Hayden Colledge; great-great grandchildren, Elrey Calderon, Coby Vontoure.

The family will receive friends at Forest Lawn Funeral Home on Friday, January 3, 2019 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home with a Rosary being said at 6:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM, Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1115 Orange Street, Beaumont. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
