

Joyce Faye Swinney Lea, age 76, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at her home in Vidor, TX. Services will be at 2:30 PM on Sunday, October 5, 2014 at Old Faith Chapel in Vidor, TX with Pastor Jessie Wright officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont, TX. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 9:00 PM on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Old Faith Chapel in Vidor, TX.
Joyce was born on August 7, 1938 in Beaumont, TX to the late Lloyd Elmore “Blackie” Swinney and Dorothy M. Chafin Swinney. She was a long time member of Old Faith Chapel. Joyce was a bookkeeper and a business owner for many years, before becoming a certified nurse’s aide. She loved doing arts and crafts.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Dorothy Elizabeth Dryden and a sister Linda Raye Whitfield.
Survivors include four sons, Philip L. Lea, Michael D. Lea, Joe Aubrey Lea and Gregory A. Lea all of Vidor, TX. One brother, Bryan Swinney of Houston, TX. Seven grandchildren, Philip Travis Lea and his wife Amy, David Tyler Lea, Kaitlyn Lea, Joe Aubey Lea, Jr., Leslie Nicole Lea, Amber Armstrong and Crystal Fontaine. Two great grandchildren; Philp Isaiah Lea and Alma Louise Lea.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
