Mary worked for AT&T as a phone operator for over 40 years, during that time she was a member of the Pioneers Club. She is a proud member of North End Baptist Church, attending the Naomi Sunday School Class, and helped with the Home Bound Ministries.
Mary is survived by her brother W.L. (Dub) Brewton and sister-in-law Mary Brewton; niece & caregiver Ann Combs; godchild Marci Davies; special friend Janet Ellis; three nephews and two nieces.
Mary was preceded in death by her first husband Gene C. Edwards; second husband Luscious Conner; and sister Dorothy May Conner.
A visitation for Mary will be held Tuesday, November 28, 2017 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Beaumont, Texas. A Celebration of Mary's Life will occur Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 2:00 PM, Beaumont, Texas. Burial will immediately follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont, Texas.
