Mary B. Nesom

Mary was born on May 16, 1930 in Silsbee, Texas to Carrie Lou and William A. Ashworth.

She was a 1947 graduate of South Park High School. She was very proud to be a Greenie and stayed close to all her dear girlfriends from high school.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents and brother, William (Bill) Ashworth.

She is survived be her husband of 64 years, Ray W. Nesom of Silsbee, Texas; sons, Lon B. Nesom and wife Sandra Merendino Nesom of Silsbee, Texas; Lee Nesom and wife Sue Butler Nesom of Austin, Texas; grandchildren, Melanie Colunga, Greg Nesom, Jeffery Nesom, Brenda Broussard, Sarah Stidham, Brett Nesom, Allison Pogue and Sidney Wood; great-grandchildren, Cayden, Tyler, Luke, Jaxen, Mia, Laynie, Alex, Autumn, Donnie, Shelby, Baylee and Bella.

Our special thanks to her caregivers at Pine Arbor and Hospice, Dr. Mark Toups and Dr. Randy Lombardo, and our dear friend Lashunda Spearman who was with us during this time.

Memorial contributions can be made to First Baptist Church of Silsbee, where Mrs. Nesom was a member or to any charity of your choice.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday, August 21, 2012 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at 10 a.m., in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
