Nelwyn Elaine Rutledge, 85, a lifelong resident of Beaumont passed away on Saturday March 18, 2017. She was born on July 20, 1931 to Jewell and Charlie B Cherry in Carthage, Texas. She is survived by her children; Dwight “DD” Rutledge and wife Linda of Kingwood, Kenneth Rutledge and wife Terri of Beaumont, sisters, Alice Gorrell of Beaumont, Mildred Davis and husband Dalton of Arlington, five grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John Rutledge, sister, Kathryn Crocker, and brother, Leon Cherry.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday March 22, 2017, from 2:00 p.m. until the funeral service time of 3:00 p.m. at the Forest Lawn Funeral Chapel with entombment to follow at the Community Mausoleum at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rosedale Baptist Church in Beaumont or to your favorite charity of choice in honor of Nelwyn Elaine Rutledge.
