Nola B. Busbee

Nola was born in Oakdale, Louisiana, on April 20, 1915, to Everton and Inez Hinson.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, John “Jack” Cannon, Ed Godwin, Sr., and Charles Ray Busbee; sisters, Ines Wedge and Mary Cormicle; son-in-law Johnnie L Mize; and grand-daughter Paula Pruitt McKinley.

Nola is survived by her loving daughters, Jo Ann Fuqua and husband Bobby J. of Anderson, Texas; Joy Beth Mize of Colmesneil, Texas; step-daughter Marion Godwin of Beaumont and step-son Ed Godwin, Jr., of Lake Charles; sisters, Evelyn Sawyer and Juanita Parks of Beaumont, Texas; grandchildren, Linda Wilson, Johnnie Mize, Charla Smallwood and Kyle Pruitt; great-grandchildren, Kimberly Freund, Kris Wilson, James Barnhart, Deon Nelson, Jr., and Hannah Nelson; and great-great grandchild, Preston Wilson.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday, July 24, 2012, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. A Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at 10 a.m., at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
