Peggy Gant

Peggy Gant, 86, of Beaumont passed away on August 6, 2019 in Beaumont. Peggy was born on September 9, 1932 in Bronson, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents; Floyd Williams and Lessie Connor Williams, brother; Jerry Williams, sisters; Betty Sue Westerterp, Joyce Kerr, first husband; Neauva Barefield, second husband Danny Gant, daughter; Neva Ozment, grandson; Keith Jenkins, infant grandson; Travis Troy Tunnell.

Peggy was a member of Calvary Baptist Church for 10 years. Peggy was the cafeteria manager for Beaumont school district for 30 years. She enjoyed spending time in her garden and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her son; Ben W. Barefield and wife Denise of Sour Lake, sister; Charlcye Copeland, grandchildren; Devin Lumpkin and husband Joshua, Jennifer Savant, Cody Savant, Donald Savant, Jr., Wes Barefield, Greg Barefield and wife Nadine, Cheryl Boutte and husband Paul, Patty Walker and husband Chuck, and twelve great grandchildren.

A Gathering to Share Memories of Peggy will be held Thursday August 8, 2019 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 6:00pm to 9:00pm.

A Celebration of Peggy's Life will be held Friday August 9,2019 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home at 9:00am.

A Graveside service will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Nederland at 11:00am.
