He was an enthusiastic longtime member of the Optimist Club and was serving as President of the Nederland Mid-County Club. He attended many State and National conventions across the country. He loved photography and for years took pictures at Lamar and Westbrook sporting events. He enjoyed sharing pictures with the coaches and athletes as much or more.
