Richard Steven Franks, 60, of Beaumont died Saturday, February 13, 2010 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital. He was born June 13, 1949, in Chicago, IL to E.C. and Elsie Franks. Mr. Franks served in the U.S. Navy and was stationed on the USS Saratoga. He worked as an ironworker for the Local Union #135.
He was preceded in death by his father, E.C. Franks; two wives, Sue Franks and Thelma Franks; and an infant son, Matthew Franks.
He is survived by a son, John Franks; his mother, Elsie Franks; and a sister, Cheryl Spradley and husband Randy.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, February 16, 2010, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral Services are scheduled for Wednesday, February 17, 2010, at 10:00 a.m., in the Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel.
