Shirley Mae Kriegel

Shirley Richards Kriegel, 94, of Beaumont died August 26, 2025 in League City, Texas. She was born in Kingsville, Texas on September 29, 1930 and resided in Beaumont from 1973 until February of 2025. She retired from Guess Elementary, Beaumont ISD in 1997.

Shirley is survived by her 4 children Susan Daniel and husband Martin Atkinson of Houston, Sherry O'Neal of Webster, Kimberly Kriegel Edwards and husband Jerry of LaMarque and Mark Kriegel and wife Samantha of Boerne; grandchildren Taylor Kriegel, Audrey Daniel, Emily Daniel Lopez, Kailin Kriegel Salazar and Coleton Kriegel. In addition to immediate family, Shirley will be grieved by many loved ones, extended family and friends.

Shirley was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Otto Kriegel, Jr , her parents Calvin and Dora Estelle Richards and her sister Wanda Richards Beavers.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 27th at 1:00 p.m. at Meadows Church of Christ 9195 Dishman Road Beaumont, Texas.

When we all get to heaven what a day of rejoicing that will be. Shirley's beautiful smile and infectious laugh will be heard again. Loved ones will be united.

Memories will bring smiles to our faces and love for Shirley in our hearts.
