Vera was born on December 17, 1927 in Roanoke, Louisiana to her parents James Earl and Mildred Mae Goodwin McLemore who preceded her in death. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Milton Teel. She was a homemaker and a member of Woodland Baptist Church in Beaumont. She enjoyed collecting glassware, motor home traveling, keeping up with her Thursday hair appointment, and giving names to inanimate objects. She also was a huge fan of the “Golden Girls” television program, an avid bingo player, and a lifelong fan of Frank Sinatra.
Surviving Vera are her son, James “Buddy” Teel and wife Janice of Beaumont, daughter, Susan Teel Ingram and husband Terry of Frisco, Texas, three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday August 19, 2015 from 10:00 A.M. until funeral service time of 11:00 A.M. at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.
