Wanda Lee Jones

She was born in Texarkana, Arkansas, 1923, the oldest of seven children, daughter of Ida Lee and Vernon C. Polk. Wanda was a wonderful homemaker and enjoyed knitting, volunteer work , arts and crafts, country music and traveling.

Wanda was a member of Toledo Bend Baptist Church, former member of Toledo Bend Women's Auxiliary and was a fifty year member of Eastern Star.

She is survived by daughters Carolyn Few and husband Bob of Teague, Texas, Lee Meriwether and husband Tommy of Toledo Bend, Texas. Grand children, Charles Cooper of Beaumont, Texas, Michael Cooper of Lebanon, Indiana, and Reed Meriwether of Wesley Chapel, Florida, great grand children, Casey, Brittany, Caleb, Nicholas and Michael, a sister, Bobbie Grammer and a brother, Billy Polk

Wanda is proceeded in death by her husband of fifty-six years, Charles Henry Jones.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 10th, 2016, at 9:00 a.m., in the chapel at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Beaumont. Following the visitation a chapel service will be for 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held in Forest Lawn Memorial Park and Cemetery.
