William McKinley Sutton of Beaumont, Texas, was born on January 28, 1961 to Raymond and Mildred Allen Sutton, he passed away peacefully on Thursday November 18, 2021, at St. Elizabeth hospital at the age of 60 after a lengthy illness.
Known as “Billy” by family and friends, he spent his childhood and early adult years living in Lumberton, Texas where he graduated from high school in 1979. He was an avid entrepreneur of several enterprises during his life. He enjoyed raising and training his dogs, music, singing and entertaining friends and family. Billy enjoyed writing poetry - one such article was "God’s Striped Soldier" which was written after the attacks on 9/11 and was copyrighted, and sent to the president.
Billy is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Mildred Sutton.
He is survived by his daughter Billie Catherine “Cathy” and husband Brett Taylor; adopted son Jason; former wife Sandra K. Sutton; lifelong friend John Jennings; grandchildren, Angela Taylor, Reagan Taylor, Gavin Taylor, Elizabeth Taylor, Emily Taylor; sisters Sharon Fraytet and husband Mike, Rachel Holley, Mary Simmons and husband Angelo; brother Troy Sutton; sister-in-law Pam Sutton Strickland; and brother-in-law Thomas Sutton. He also has several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and many friends who will greatly miss him until we meet again in Heaven.
Services will be held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Beaumont Monday November 22, visitation at 12:00pm and funeral to follow at 2:00pm, all who knew and loved him are welcome.
