Born on May 2, 1937, in Bunkie, Louisiana, William was the beloved son of the late Peter Richard Thomas and Elvina (Frank) Thomas. He made Beaumont his home for over 60 years, where he became a cherished member of the community.
William was a skilled mechanic, known not only for his talent with tools but also for his sharp wit and unforgettable storytelling. He had a passion for watching car racing and martial arts movies, hobbies that brought him joy and relaxation. Those who knew him will remember his warm heart, quick humor, and generous spirit.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his siblings: Richard Thomas, Clinton Thomas, James David Thomas, Gilbert Thomas, Lionel Thomas, Robert Thomas, Douglas Compton, Edgar Thomas, Brenda Lazard, and Judy Thomas.
Left to honor his memory are his children: Virgie Mae Thomas of Fort Worth; Kerry Neal Thomas; Wilbert Curtis Thomas Jr. of Louisiana; Leonard Thomas and wife Shirlett of Beaumont; Anthony “Tony” Thomas of Beaumont; Vanessa Thomas of Beaumont; Phillip Thomas of Beaumont; and Terreca Thomas of Beaumont. He is also survived by his brother, Wilson Locke of Houma, Louisiana; along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many dear friends.
William will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
