William E. Thomas, age 88, died Monday, December 30, 2013 in Beaumont, TX. Graveside services will be on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00 PM before the service at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
Mr. Thomas was born in Wiergate, Texas on July 9, 1925. He graduated from Beaumont High School and proudly served in the United States Navy. He owned and operated Central Auto Parts. Mr. Thomas was a Mason. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and traveling with his wife.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Sue Thomas; parents, William Enoch Thomas and Maude McMahon; brothers, John Thomas and Cecil Thomas; sisters, Eliza Miller and Ella Mae Thomas.
Survivors include his three daughters, Carolyn Britton of Crystal Beach, TX, Elaine Thomas of Beaumont, TX and Glinda Rice of Tucson, AR. Eight grandchildren, Traci Britton, Amy Sullivan, Jimmy McCreary, John McCreary, Joe McCreary, Megan Thomas, Jamie Diamond and Danny Diamond. Seven great grandchildren, Madisyn Britton, Kennedi Britton, Lauren-Bailey Sullivan, Kylie Sullivan, Tayla Sullivan and Christian McCreary.
