Arthur Milton Larsen Jr. passed away November 22, 2013 in Beaverton. Born in Oak Park, Illinois on January 10th, 1932, he was the only child of Myrtle and Arthur Milton Larsen Sr. The family moved to Corvallis where he attended Corvallis High and Oregon State College. Art was also a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity. During a college summer break, he met Joan Price of Elkton while working at the Oregon Caves as a cave guide. They married after his graduation on April 3, 1954. Art worked for Pendleton Woolen Mills for 38 years. He was also active in the 104th Division of the Army Reserves for over 32 years where he attained the rank of Colonel. An Eagle Scout himself, Art was Cubmaster and Scoutmaster and served as a role model for guiding numerous scouts, including his sons, to achieve the rank of Eagle. Art is survived by his wife of 59 years, sons John (Vickey) Larsen and Chris (Jennifer) Larsen, daughter Nancy (George) Stephan and grandchildren J.C., Michael (Jayne), Kellye, Matthew, and Brian. A celebration of life will take place on Friday, November 29th at 1:00 pm, Murray Hill Community Center at 11010 SW Teal Blvd, Beaverton.
