Josephine Santiago Abcede

Josie was born in Baguio City, Philippines on October 19, 1944. She graduated from the University of Baguio and received a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.

She was a devout Catholic, a strong-willed and independent woman with interests in sewing and knitting.

Josie will forever be remembered for her passion in healthcare as she later became a Certified Nursing Assistant and was Reynaldo’s caregiver the past several years.

Josie is survived by her son Raymond Abcede, daughters Maria Schaeffer, Gee Watson, sons-in-law Jon Schaeffer, Stephen Watson, two grandchildren, brothers Arsenio, Victor, Alexander, Emmanuel, Augustus, sister Gemma and sister-in-law Lourdes Santiago. She is also survived by extended family and friends.

A celebration of Josephine’s life will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at St. Pius Catholic Church, starting with a Rosary at 9:30 AM and a memorial mass at 10 AM. A lunch reception will follow thereafter.
