Lois Ann Marchington

Lois was born in Aberdeen, South Dakota, the daughter of Marinus and Alice Artz. She was one of 4 children and graduated from Salem's Sacred Heart Academy. Lois lived a fulfilling life as mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Lois' family was the pride and joy of her life. The legacy of Lois' kind spirit, passion for creativity, love of gardening, watercolor painting, and zest for life will live on through them. Lois learned her artistic skills early on working for her parent’s photography business and enjoyed creating watercolor paintings for 30 years. She joined the Watercolor Society of Oregon while winning several exhibition awards. Lois will leave behind many original art pieces for us all to enjoy.

Lois will be survived by her husband Ray Marchington and children Luanne Fordney (Steve), Linda Marchildon, Larry Turin (Debbie), Lisa Perez (Edgar), and Leslie Yancoskie (Steve). Additionally she will leave behind 11 grandchildren (1 deceased) and 11 great grandchildren.

Services are planned at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, in Beaverton, OR, on Friday, February 18, 2022 at 11am. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Multiple Sclerosis Society of Portland, Oregon, Inc. (MSSP).
