Nancy Ann Guilford

Nancy Ann (Gilbert) Guilford died January 4, 2025 in Beaverton, OR after a 17-month battle with aggressive cancer. Nancy was born March 31, 1933 in Junction City, OR to G. Clair and Annabelle Gilbert. She graduated from Harrisburg High School in 1951 and the University of Oregon in 1955, majoring in business. While at the U of O, she joined the Delta Zeta sorority where she made lifelong friends.

On September 7, 1956, she married Dee J Guilford in Eugene, OR and relocated to Portland. She worked in the insurance industry until they started a family. In 1966, the family moved to Corvallis where she was employed by the OSU Library. Dee J died July 3, 1973. Nancy returned to Portland in 1978, where she completed her career at Fred S. James (later Sedgwick) insurance brokerage from 1979 until her retirement in 1998.

She moved to Beaverton in 1997 where she was an active member of the Westbrook HOA. She lived there until 2023.

She is survived by her children Pat (Phil) Sheleny and Tom Guilford, grandchildren Erin Sheleny (Cody Yeack) and Kyle (Jessica) Sheleny, great-grandson Wyatt, and sister Mary Gilbert, all of Washington County. She was preceded in death by Dee J and their son Mike.
