Wallace Ervin Boleen was born May 18, 1931 in Scholls, Oregon and passed away with family at his side in Hillsboro, OR on September 16, 2014, age 83. Wally was a lifelong Oregon resident, having been raised in Scholls and graduating from Hillsboro High in 1950. Wally was founder of Boleen and Sons Painting and had a partnership with his sons until he passed. He was a lifetime member of the Hillsboro Elks Lodge and a member of Bethel Congregational Church. He was an avid HAM radio operator. Wally enjoyed his weekly poker game at the Forest Grove Elks Lodge, fishing, hunting, and travel (he and Dolores traveled widely, from cruises in the Caribbean and Mediterranean and adventures in Europe to road excursions in the US). He loved his family and especially his grandchildren.
Wally was preceded in death by a brother and sister, and by his wife Dolores in February 2014, and is survived by sons and daughter-in-laws Jeff and Carla Boleen and Russ and Marie Boleen; grandchildren Alyssa (Peter) Guth, Makaela Boleen, Ryan Boleen and Jared Boleen; and great-grandson Colton Guth, all of Hillsboro.
