Betty R. Sweeney Siegman

Betty R.(Sweeney) Siegman was born in New Albany, IN to Harry Ray and Elizabeth Sweeney. She moved to Indianapolis at two years of age. Betty graduated from St. Mary’s Academy. She enjoyed participating in numerous plays and piano recitals and was awarded a full scholarship to Marion College. She married and moved to Beech Grove where she attended Holy Name Church.Her activities included past president of the Altar Society, past treasurer of the PTO at Our Lady of Grace Academyand the former clerk-treasurer of Beech Grove.Betty worked at several insurance agencies, the Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce and Skillman.Betty is survived by her daughter Cheryl K.(Charles)Pride, grandchildren Charles W. Pride, Jr., Nicholas R.(Katherine)Pride, Bridget E. Pride, Brian J.(Brittany)Siegman and Jennifer R. Siegman,three great grand children; Jaxon Siegman, John Pride and Harrison Pride.She is also survived by her brother Jerry Sweeney and her sister Marilyn Wagner and several nieces and nephews.Betty was preceded in death by her father, mother and her son David B. Siegman.

Visitation will be on Nov. 18, 2010 from 4-8 p.m. at Little and Sons Funeral Home Beech Grove Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Holy Name Catholic Church at 10 a.m. on Fri. Nov. 19, 2010.

Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
