

Charles Fredrick Brammer, 83, of Indianapolis, entered into eternal rest on January 22, 2024. He was born on February 24, 1940 in Covington, Tennessee to the late Russel and Florence Brammer. Charles graduated from Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, TN with a degree in Engineering. After college he moved to Indianapolis where met the love of his life, Caroline Sensback, and they were married on January 28, 1963. He worked for various construction companies on many different engineering projects throughout the United States later retiring from Charles C. Brandt Construction. His most accomplished projects were at Assembly Hall on the IU campus in Bloomington and on the Chemistry Building at Purdue University. Charles was involved with choir at Nativity Catholic Church and his life was centered on his faith. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, playing his guitar, and getting outside where he would go hunting. Charles dedicated a lot of time with the Lions Club in his early years. He and his wife enjoyed traveling and spending time with their grandchildren.
Along with his parents and stepmother, Rebecca Brammer, he was preceded in death by his wife, Caroline Brammer.
Left to cherish in his memory are his children, Christy (Keith) Kesterson, Jeffrey (Jaime) Brammer, Deborah (Kirk) Snyder, Laurie Slick (Patrick Burdsall), Angela (Steve) Huffman, and Melissa Ayala; sisters, Charlotte Steward and Alma Josephine “JoJo” Kendall; nephew, Blake; nieces, Tammy, Randi, and Laura; 14 grandchildren; along with 5 great grandchildren.
As Charles would say, “it’s all over but the crying”.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 26, 2024 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM with the Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 AM at Nativity Catholic Church, 7225 Southeastern Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46239. Burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Nativity Catholic Church. Services have been entrusted to Little & Sons Funeral Home – Beech Grove.
