Claude Asher

Claude Asher, age 83, of Indianapolis, passed away on November 18, 2021. He was born October 21, 1938 in Leatherwood, Kentucky to the late Dan and Ruby Asher. Claude married Shirley Eads on April 13, 1955 in Sneedville, Tennessee. They had 3 children together, Linda, Danny and Jimmy.
Claude worked for the railroad for 46 years before retiring as a mobile crane operator. Claude played the banjo in the bands, Gospel Ramblers and 1000 Pounds of Bluegrass. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Claude is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Shirley Asher; children, Linda (Billy) McKinney, Danny Asher and Jimmy (Simone) Asher; grandchildren, Shawnee (Kevin) Ray, Tammy (Paul) Fetchik, Ryan (Tara) Asher, Joe (Cheyenne) Fansher, Jennifer Asher, Gannon Asher, Madison Barnett and Morgan Brannon; 15 great grandchildren; and siblings, Beulah Goodridge, Carlos Asher and Billy Asher. Claude was preceded in death by his parents.
A visitation for Claude will be held on Friday, November 26, 2021 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Little and Sons Funeral Home, 1301 Main Street, Beech Grove, IN 46107. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 11:00 am also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Orchard Hill Cemetery.
