Courtney throughout her life understood that all blessings were great. Life never held back Courtney as she accomplished so many things. Courtney and her family were proud of her Bachelors Degree in fashion design, proud of her multiple accomplishments including meeting President Bush, Texas Governor Great Abbot, a former education secretary, and 2 cardinals. When Courtney wasn't busy with all of those things, she would be busy as a prayer warrior and a volunteer for St. Vincent de Paul, Pro-life, and the Gabriel Project.
Courtney once wrote "I still can't describe exactly what a perfect society is to me. In my perfect society even unsophisticated thought is appreciated. Perhaps my society is a place of innocence. Listening is considered a valued art and gentle whispers are heard more frequently than angry shouts. My perfect society might be a place of courteous communication. I have been taught that God helps those who help themselves and my perfect citizens also show it is more blessed to give than to receive. In my perfect society one may not forget but is always willing to forgive. In my perfect society you don't just accept, you are truly thankful for what you have. You don't take a quick look, you see beyond the obvious. Creative thinkers are active problem solvers. The people don't need to live on easy street. They concentrate on making their houses a real home. My perfect society is about "we" instead of "me". It is more about do than don't. It is more about trying than lying. It is about taking more chances than not taking any at all. It is about taking steps big or small down the road of life together."
Courtney is survived by; mother Jacqueline Carroll; brother Joseph Jude (Kira) Carroll and brother John Michael Carroll; aunt Marie (Archie) Bundy, aunt Darla Godby, aunt Jeanine Petree, aunt Teresa Robertson, aunt Maura Carroll, aunt Jerylann Carroll, aunt Meg Marie Carroll, aunt Barbara Carroll, aunt Regina Carroll, aunt Colleen Carroll, uncle Craig (Janis) Petree, uncle Jeff Petree, uncle Doug (Mari) Petree, uncle Michael (Carol) Carroll, uncle Kevin (Aileen) Carroll, uncle Martin (Sheila) Carroll, niece Isis Carroll, nephew Joseph Anthony Carroll, nephew Liam Carroll and nephew Raphael Carroll. Courtney also leaves behind numerous loving cousins.
Courtney was preceded in death by; father Joseph Michael Carroll; sister Katie Marita Carroll.
A visitation for Courtney will be held Friday, November 9, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Little & Sons Funeral Home, 1301 Main St, Beech Grove, Indiana 46107. A burial will occur Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 12:00 AM at Calvary Cemetery, 435 W Troy Ave, Indianapolis, Indiana 46225-2233. A funeral mass will occur Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Holy Name Catholic Church, 89 N 17th Ave, Beech Grove, Indiana 46107.
