Della Juanita Jaggers

94, of Indianapolis passed away on May 3, 2013. Our beloved eldest sister, loving mother, caring grandmother, GiGi (great grandmother) and devoted friend that was adored by all. Juanita was born May 31, 1918 in Parke County IN, daughter of Paul Lee and Lillie (Smith) Payton. She was a member of Post Road Christian Church and Beech Grove Senior Citizens. Juanita graduated from Rosedale High School in 1936. Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joseph Glen (1972), daughter Glenda Pierce, son-in-law Steve Meyers, sister, Marilyn Clark and brothers, George, Donald Lee and Quinten Payton. She is survived by her children Marcia Layne (Harold), Ronald (Kathleen), Richard (Maxine), Douglas (Beverly) Debra Meyers, Karen Helm (Robert III), Lynette Williams (Jeffrey), son-in-law Robert Pierce, sisters Donola Carrier and Mae Grinley, brothers, Edward and Dale Payton, thirteen grandchildren, Jeffrey Layne (Martha(, Tim Layne (Karen), Glen Pierce, Laura Wilson (Jeffrey), Suzanne Schmidt (Patrick), Brian Jaggers (Danielle Cameron), Douglas II Jaggers (Roberta), Andrew Jaggers (Jamie Jones), Rebecca Bangert (ted), James Meyers, Angela Lewis (Mike), Paul Williams and Alicia Williams,six step-grandchildren, McKenzie Cameron, Robert Pierce Jr., Denise Gamble, Melody Rodriguez, Merrilee Reece and Deanna Johnson. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 6th from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Little and Sons Funeral Home Beech Grove Chapel. Funeral services will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 7th at 11:00am. Graveside services will follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Fishers. Memorial contributions may be made to Riley Children’s Hospital for family support.
