Dorothy L. Hole

Dorothy L. Hole, affectionately known as "Dot," of Beech Grove, Indiana, passed away on December 30, 2025, at the age of 85. She was born in Fountain Head, Tennessee, on February 11, 1940. Dorothy worked as a photo finisher at H. Lieber Company in Indianapolis until she married and became a stay-at-home mother and wife. In 1994, she returned to work at the St. Paul Hermitage in Beech Grove until her retirement.

Dot's number one passion was her family and her beloved poodle, Lilly. She also loved watching the Pacers and the Colts. She very much enjoyed visiting with her neighbors, whom she thought of as family. She loved going on vacation to the beach with her family.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her spouse, Charles W. Hole; her mother, Evie Choate Gregory; her father, John E. Gregory; her sisters, MaryJane Gregory-Matthew, Francis Gregory-McCloud, Minnie Gregory-McCloud, and Ella Gregory-Tomlinson; and her brother, James "Jim" Gregory.

She is survived by her partner, Hillard McGuffie; her daughter, Theresa (Dominic) Jones Iaria; her son, Robert (Kelly) Jones; her son, Ralph (Tammy) McGuffie; her sister, Sally (Gary) Gregory-Christian; her brother, John R. Gregory; as well as five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at Little & Sons Funeral Home, located at 1301 Main Street, Beech Grove, IN 46107, on January 9, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

An additional time to gather will be held the following morning, January 10, 2026 from 9:00 am-10:00 am with a funeral service to begin at 10:00 am.

Dot will be laid to rest following her funeral service at Washington Park East Cemetery - Washington Park Cemetery Association, located at 10612 E Washington St, Indianapolis, IN 46229.
