Ernest was a member of Local Union 20 Sheet Metal Workers, and his primary skill was in Architectural Design. He served his country as a member of the United States Army, and participated in the Indiana Honor Flight in 2016. Ernest was also a member of Mount Zion Church.
He is survived by his children Eugene (Cathy) Sears, Tina (John) Schott, Penny Gilleland, Jenny Sears, and Mark Sears; 15 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and brother Wayne (Sue) Sears. Ernest was preceded in death by his wife Reva Sears.
Visitation will be held on Saturday Jan. 21st from 11:00 AM-2:00 PM at Little & Sons Funeral Home Beech Grove Chapel, followed by a Funeral Service at 2:00 PM in the funeral home. Burial to follow at Round Hill Cemetery.
