

Glenn Eugene Collins, 91, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2022. Glenn, born May 7, 1930, was one of nine children that grew up in Beech Grove. The “good ole Collins bunch” as they were referred to.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Collins; sons, Steven and Jeff Collins; and his grandchildren; brother Don Collins; and sisters Loretta and Robin. He was the jokester of the family and was loved by everyone, including many nieces and nephews.
Glenn, a Purple Heart, served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War and was proud of his service to his country. He was a sharp dresser and known as “the flooring guy”. He retired from Flooring by Stretch-Rite after many years of service. He loved helping customers beautify their homes.
He and his brothers, Bob and Don Collins were train enthusiasts. Glenn loved steam engines and going to train shows. He and Nancy loved riding them.
Glenn loved to cook, work in the yard, visiting with neighbors and friends, listening and singing gospel songs and hanging out with his Boston Terrier Sir Dukie Collins in the garage. It was said that Glenn was the first person to help anyone in any situation when needed.
When you hear the whistle of a train, think of Glenn in memory.
He was preceded in death by his parents Cicero and Mary Collins; son, Roger; brothers, Cicero and Bob; sisters Eva, Jeanetta, Ruby and Betty; his beloved dog, Dukie Collins.
A visitation for Glenn will be held Monday, April 18, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Little & Sons Funeral Home, 1301 Main St., Beech Grove, Indiana 46107, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m.
