Gunter "Paul" Stohr

Gunter “Paul” Stohr 77, of Indianapolis, passed away on July 8, 2020. He was born in Ziegenhals, Germany and moved to the United States in 1960. He was a loving husband and a caring father. Everyone who knew Gunter loved him; he was one of a kind. He enjoyed telling stories of his childhood in Germany and his days working at Navistar. He loved spending time with his friends and family, as well as building creations with his hands; he could build anything. Gunter retired as a Blacksmith from Navistar in 2002 and loved going to work each day. Although he endured a great deal of pain in his later years, Gunter rarely complained and continued to put others before himself. He was also a member of Southwood Baptist Church in Beech Grove for over 30 years. Gunter is survived by his loving wife of 56 years; Lorna Stohr, children; Mark (Leann) Stohr and Samantha (Chris) Dawalt, grandchildren; Jessica Stohr, Dustin Stohr and Christopher Dawalt, along with great-grandson; Silas. Gunter was preceded in death by his son; Sean Stohr and twin grandsons; Eddie and Gene Stohr. Visitation will be held at Southwood Baptist Church in Beech Grove on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 from 12:00pm-3:00pm with Funeral Services immediately following at 3:00pm. www.littleandsonsbeechgrove.com
