Isaac James Oldham

As I have pondered and prayed about what to say, Isaac’s kindness always comes to mind. He was always helpful and went above and beyond what was required of him. He never asked anyone to do what he was not willing to do himself. He made me a better person just by being around him and I know many people can say the same. May God bring a smile to our hearts as we treasure his memory.

Dear Isaac the memories are just too many to pick out just one You were so loved by everyone that your life touched. I was so proud of you and the way you were heading into the future with your plans There aren’t enough words to tell you how much you were loved and how much you will be missed every day. I love you Isaac and will miss you everyday. Grandma

So many thoughts and so many memories , no words can convey the love we all had for you . Your short time on earth was one we will never forget . I’m beyond proud to have called you my son, even prouder to hear all the people you’ve touched and to hear how kind you were to all.
Until we meet again , I love you dearly .. Dad

When you and your family came into my life you was a short, quiet, incredibly funny middle school child. When you was taken from my life you had grown into a very tall, caring, driven young man. Your willingness to help those you care about was shown daily in our home.
I stand each evening in the kitchen and long to hear you tell me another story about your work day, where you went on your motorcycle or what your life plans were. We spent countless hours talking about your future that was now abruptly cut short. Your intelligence, wit, creativity , kind hearted ness and sense of humor was unlike any other. You may be gone from the present but you will forever be in my heart! Isaac you will forever be missed! ❤️

My favorite memory with Isaac is standing across from him the day our parents got married. He stood next to Derrick and I was next to my mom as we all tried to hold back tears of happiness and excitement as our two families became one. It was a perfect, beautiful day spent on the beach with pure love, joy, and ice cream.

I’ve been thinking for days now what to write. I wish we all would have spent more time together & that I would have known you better as you got older.
I remember very clearly the first time I met you Isaac. You were about 6 or maybe 7 months old. We were at a cook out at Cindy Ingal’s house for a MOPS event. It was the first time I met your mom, dad & big sister, Isabel.
Your mom & I hit it off and became fast friends. There were many play dates over the years. Birthdays spent together & sleepovers with you, David & Tyler. I remember you as being a quiet little boy. Always with a twinkle in your eye & sometimes I would catch you looking at us like we were little bugs that you were examining. Oh the things you must have had going on in that head of yours!
As the years passed your mom & I grew apart, but you stayed in touch with my boys. Still spending the night with each other & going on great adventures ( so I have been told).
I wish I had made more of an effort to know you as a “grown man”. I did run into you a few weeks ago. You were at your job. I didn’t know you worked at Kroger. I hadn’t seen you in a couple of years. Could not believe how tall you’d gotten. I could still see that little boy though. Could still see that twinkle when you talked about your job. Could also see that look like you were examining everything we said. You would have done great things my dear. Great things! I love you Isaac James. You were so very important. You will be terribly missed!

Isaac was a very good classmate of mine, who sat next to me in Mr. Gegner’s Personal Finance class. He was always so smart and funny, I knew I could always ask him for help. I know that we were never close, and I am sad knowing that I didn’t get to know him better, but he will always be in my heart. We miss you, Isaac. Hope you’re riding your motorcycle up there.

This was the first day that Isaac drove his bike to work, he was showing it off to everyone! He was so proud of the fact that he had paid for it with his own hard earned money. I remember telling him how impressed I was that he was able to buy that at only 18. He told me that that bike was only the beginning and he was one day going to own a sportscar, a truck, a trailor to haul the bike and sports car on, and a house. There is no doubt in my mind that he would have accomplished those things rather quickly. I miss driving into the parking lot at work and seeing if he drove the bike or the Lincoln... I always knew if it was going to rain or not by what Isaac drove that day, he checked the weather every morning. I am so saddened that he will never get to realize his goals. I will miss Isaac greatly, however, I feel blessed that I had the chance to know him. He was a very special, talented, witty, ambitious young man that will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

I never was close with Isaac, but we were friends of friends and ive known him since elementary school when he came to arlington for the reach program. he was so smart and very witty. i always remember him doing a rubix cube and i timed it one time and he solved it in under a minute. it blew my mind. he had all different shapes that he would bring to solve them at lunch and i always thought it was really cool. then when i saw he was in an accident literally seconds away from my house, it just hit me really hard, even though i hardly knew him. isaac was a wonderful kid and he will be greatly miss by everyone at fc. i’m sending prayers to you guys ❤️

I only knew of Isaac by way of my grandson Drew. His curiosity was infectious as shown by the occasional road trips they went on. I’d like to suggest that Isaac was a gift from God to all who knew him and I challenge all his friends to hold his memory close for the rest of their lives.

Issac always had a smile to share. He was in my US History class and served as my TA his senior year. I was always amazed at his artistic ability. He was always drawing (although he called it doodling). He was always so humble and I am not sure he truly knew how brilliant he was. As a favor to me, he designed our new logos of the World Cultures Club. I gave him our slogans and gave him free reign. His designs are so beautiful and truly represents our club. I am sad that he will not be able to explore his talent, however we will always honor him.
