

80, of Indianapolis, passed away February 4, 2014. Joseph was employed by Buyer’s Wholesale for over 45 years.Joe was an avid fan of the Colts and Marilyn Monroe. He was in the US Army 61st Battalion where he served during the Korean War. Joe loved baseball and played with the Kennington American League Semi Pro League in his younger days. He was approached by the Cincinnati Reds after they saw him do 2 triple plays in 1 game and wanted him, however, he declined and wished he hadn' t. Joe was preceded in death by the love of his life, Barbara F. Ray, parents, Mike & Rose Ray along with 3 brothers and 2 sisters. He is survived by his 2 sons, David (Katrina) Ray and Brian (Tina) Ray; 5 grandchildren, Douglas Johnson; Cierra Ray; Morgan Ray; Hailey Brown; Justin Ray and 2 great grandchildren, Zayden and Remi Johnson. Visitation will be held at Little and Sons Beech Grove chapel on Friday, February 14, 2014 from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will be on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
