Marshall E. Burton
82, of Indianapolis, passed away on November 12, 2019. Marshall was born on July 5, 1937 in Colombia, Kentucky to Joe and Charity Burton.
He was the youngest of nine children. He married Margaret on March 25, 1961, his loving wife, Margaret survives.
He is survived by his eight children: Joe (Dawn) Burton, Dean (Anita) Burton, Marlene (Dean) Longelin, Marcella (Jack Atwood) Whitman, Tammy (Tony) Garcia, Becky (Rodney) Roach, Chris Arthur, Donna (John) Wiley, 21 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
He was a preacher and he would attend as many church services as he could. He had an outreach
ministry. One of his favorite sayings was “I never met no man that I didn’t want to see go to
heaven.” He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, grandpa, and great grandpa. He
worked in construction for many years. Marshall was loved by many and will hold a place in our hearts always.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at Cottage Avenue Pentecostal Fellowship (840 Cottage Ave., Indianapolis, Indiana 46203) from 4:00pm-8:00pm. Funeral Services will be at the church on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at 12:00pm with visitation one hour prior to the start of the service. Burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
