Mary Elizabeth Rieman

Mary Elizabeth Rieman, age 86, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Friday, October 9, 2020. Mary was born July 16, 1934 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Faye (Davis) Benedict and Bayard Benedict. She is also preceded in death by her husband, James Rieman. She helped run her husband's body shop and worked in the cafeteria at South Grove Elementary. She was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church, Red Hat Society, and American Legion where she served as Sargent of Arms. She was also very involved with the Beech Grove Senior Citizens group and was proud to be named Queen in 2008. Mary is survived by children, Jane Truesdell (Kenny), Diana Hunter (Greg), Kenny Rieman (Cherie), Phyllis McHugh (John), and Kristy Halcomb (Tim); brother, Charles Benedict (Lurea); 14 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday, October 12, 2020 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Little & Sons Funeral Home, 1301 Main St, Beech Grove, Indiana. Social distancing, face masks, and a 50 person capacity at a time are in place at the funeral home in accordance with CDC and state guidelines. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Holy Name Catholic Church, 89 N 17th Ave, Beech Grove, Indiana with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. The Mass will be live streamed on the Facebook page of Little & Sons Funeral Home - Beech Grove and viewable by clicking the live stream link on her obituary page in the services area at www.littleandsonsbeechgrove.com. All are invited to gather back at the church for a mercy meal following.
