Milton J. Miller, 88 was born in Escanada, Michigan to the late Percy and Margaret Miller. He passed away in Beech Grove on August 29, 2011.Milton served in the US Navy during WWII and the Korean War. Before the war, he worked for Western Union as a messenger at age 10, working his way up to a managerial position. He then worked for Bell Systems from 1947 until his retirement in 1983. After his retirement he and his wife Ruby traveled to various countries.Milton is survived by his loving wife Ruby, brothers; Donald(wife Ireen) Miller, Maurice(wife Ester)Miller, daughters; Pamela A. Carman, Deborah E. Miller and Stephanie(husband Charles)Holdaway.He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grand children, 4 nieces, 2 nephews and many great nieces and nephews.Friends may call on Friday, September 2, 2011 from 4-8 p.m. in Little and Sons Funeral Home Beech Grove Chapel. On Saturday, September 3, 2011 a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. in Holy Name Catholic Church.Entombment in Washington Park East Cemetery.
