Muriel K. Wauro, 85, of Indianapolis, IN and former longtime resident of Hammond, IN passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2013. She was born February 16, 1927 in East Chicago, IN to the late James and Lorena Kelleher. Muriel is survived by her husband of 61 years, Joseph J. Wauro; daughters, Lisa (John) Schafer and Kirsten (Joseph) Asselta; granddaughters, Gretchen Schafer and Erin Asselta; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Wanda Bonaventura, and brother, James Kelleher III. Services will be held Monday, February 4, 2013 at 12:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation.
