Wanda L Gilbert

She was born to the late Herbert and Lois Bartlett on February 21, 1941 at home in Acton, Indiana. She married Jerry Thomas on June 5, 1959, and shared many wonderful years together before his passing.

Wanda enjoyed working in the insurance business as a secretary until retiring. She loved country music, home decorating, crafts, and meeting up with her friends. After moving to Florida, she met Ron and they were married on June 28, 2008. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend.

We will all miss her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Beverly, and her husband Jerry.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ronald Gilbert of Leesburg, Florida; son Mark (Robin) of Indianapolis; daughter Michele (Allen) of Indianapolis; grandchildren: Brian, Mandy, Megan, and Laura; great-grandchildren: Addy, Rowan, Dakota, Malaki, and Acadia, all of whom she adored.

A graveside committal service will be held at Acton Cemetery, located at 7900 Acton Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46259, on Friday, February 20, 2026, at 12:00 PM.
